Day of the Lena River and the 20th anniversary of Ministry of Nature Protection of Yakutia dedicated expedition four high school students Hatynnahskoy Srednekolymsky district.
Expedition to which children were preparing a half years, was held on the territory of the resource reserve “Sededema”, located in the middle reaches of the Kolyma River. For a week the young travelers crossed about five hundred kilometers by land and water.
Start of the expedition was given on June 22 from the village Khatynnax. In the long march of schoolchildren accompanied by the head of nature protection inspection ulus Ivan Belonogov, high school teacher Hatynnahskoy Anna Lapteva and PAs Inspector Basil Choukri.
Walking trip participants got to the lake Ebe where two rubber boats and a double kayak went to the mouth of the creek, which flows into the river Sededema. Way to the mouth of the creek took three days, guys slept in the cabin of the hunter and tents.
Took another day rafting Sededema Lake Үөtteeh where travelers met Inspector PA brothers Vinokourov motorboats. They delivered the members of the expedition to the base Desep which introduced them to the work of inspectors protected areas. Then also motorboats expedition went in Srednekolymsk.
“During the expedition, the boys saw and learned a lot when nesting ducks, gulls, geese and eagles how the moulting geese and ducks, they saw with their own eyes, as sable hunting in the summer, attacking the nests of birds, gulls and crows. Six times on our way met eagles nest, as we were lucky enough to meet more than once bears and moose. The children also visited the historical places on the lake Ebe, where in Soviet times lived and worked their relatives”, – said Vasily YSIA Choukri.
According to the inspector, his team showed stamina, curiosity, delicious fitness and excellent moral qualities. Much for them was the first time – the first time they got into the boat, first saw the Kolyma River in all its glory. Not surprisingly, the impressions of the trip were the most enthusiastic. And parents were happy with the guys.
“With this campaign we have achieved several goals: first, the guys made up the historical memory of visiting places associated with the heroic feats of labor of their ancestors; secondly, met with the flora and fauna of his native land; thirdly, the school held a unique communion with nature in extreme conditions akin to the school of survival.
