Photo expedition along the Lena River was conducted on the instructions of the publishing house “Penta” and commissioned by the Yakutsk State University . As usual , the main objective here was photographing the local scenery. In the expedition also participated Andrei Shevelov photographer from Tyumen. Together at lightweight catamaran without a motor, for months has been done way, stretching 1250 kilometers. Although we were only interested Yakut part of the river, yet the route began in the village Korshunova, even in the Irkutsk region to be able to shoot one of the most remarkable places on the river – the tract “cheeks”. Finished the route in the national park “Lena Pillars” is perhaps the most amazing, beautiful and deservedly known location on the riverside.
The Lena River is one of the largest and longest rivers, not only Russia but the whole world. Undoubtedly, this river can be considered one of the geographical objects, symbolizing Russia. First and foremost, the breadth, scope and savagery of our territories.
