July 2 in Yakutia declared the Day of the Lena River. Municipalities along the Lena River basin, as well as managing the enterprise spend ten days, timed to coincide with the date.
The plan of the decade included practical measures for the improvement and sanitation shoreline of the river Lena, conferences, round tables, exhibitions and other educational activities.

The head of Yakutia Yegor Borisov signed a decree establishing the Day of the Lena River, which is celebrated each year on July 2. As stated in the document, a day established to draw attention to the preservation of the river located on the unique natural features, as well as for the development and promotion of a national brand, based on the image of her and for the development of ecological tourism.

On Tuesday, June 4 at the Moscow hotel “Alrosa on Cossack” the presentation of the ship “Mikhail Svetlov” and summer cruises along the Lena River – “Yakutsk-Tixi-Yakutsk” and “Lena cheeks.”
In the short northern summer “Michael light” three times coming to the north – from Yakutsk to Tiksi and back (14 days), and once – to the south (the tour “Lena cheeks”). There will also be performed several short cruises of the day.
